10th Annual Great Salt Lake Bird Festival (Farmington)
This festival offers guided field trips to the best birding hot-spots in northern Utah and around the world famous Great Salt Lake. Birding trips are offered by kayak, boat, horseback, bus, van, and DUCK. All trips have expert guides. Friday and Saturday workshops at the Davis County Event Center include artist Rosalie Winard, booths, vendors, food, and art for people of all ages and birding experience. Scandinavian Heritage Festival (Ephraim)
The Scandinavian Heritage Festival in Ephraim, Utah, running Thursday through Saturday prior to Memorial Day, is possibly the largest Scandinavian heritage event in the Intermountain West. Last year, it attracted upwards of 10,000 visitors.

Mountain Main Rendezvous (Hyrum)
Traditional 1835 Fur Trade era mountain man rendezvous. This is the oldest rendezvous reenactment in Utah. There will be a traditional traders row, black powder and archery shoots, dutch oven cooking contest, kids games and a candy cannon, as well as plenty of on site food and drinks. Directions: Head east on Main Street(State Route 101) in Hyrum, UT. Continue up Blacksmith's Fork Canyon. Look for the signs on the left just past milepost 13.

Wayne Thiebaud: 70 Years of Painting (Springville)
This important American realist lived for a time in southern Utah, and is returning home with some of the paintings that made him famous, as well as some new work. Wayne Thiebaud will be at the Museum for a lecture and book signing on 29 March 2008 at 1:00 pm. Tickets are available for $10, and overflow seating is available for $5. Glass Art Guild of Utah Members Show (SLC)
The Glass Art Guild of Utah is primarily focused on warm glass techniques. "Warm glass" refers to the process of cutting, shaping, arranging, and then fusing pieces of glass into a whole in a kiln. Numberous techniques can be applied, including slumping (bending), carving, casting, and manipulation while glass is liquid. Art glass is manufactured in a stunning variety of colors and textures.
The Glass Art Guild of Utah was founded in 1998 by five pioneering Utah glass artists. The organization has grown to include more than 40 members, ranging from nationally known instructors and full-time professional artists to newly interested, part-time artists.
